Clothing Resources:

Garage Space (Clothe the People)

  • Location: FoCo Cafe property (225 Maple St, Fort Collins). Outside, there is an enclosed garage space.
  • Times:
    • Wednesday, 5pm - 6:30pm
    • Sunday, 2pm - 4pm
  • Come for: clothes, hygiene products, community (help sort clothes and donations), to drop off donations (all of the items in the Garage Space and Kindness Cupboard are donation based)
  • Things to know about showing up/accessability:
    • The times listed are also times when hot meals are being provided (to anyone, no charge) so there will be people serving food, people eating, and generally people hanging out.
    • There will be someone in the garage space to help if you have any questions or needs.
    • There is a bathroom inside of FoCo Cafe that is available if the cafe is open, but there is a not a changing room in the garage.
    • The ground is uneven with a mix of pavement and small gravel.

Kindness Cupboard (Clothe the People)

  • Location: FoCo Cafe property (225 Maple St, Fort Collins). Outside.
  • Times:
    • The Kindness Cupboard is accessible 24/7.
  • Come for: clothes
  • Things to know about showing up/accessability:
    • If you arrive during the times when the Garage Space (described above) is open, there will be someone available to ask about specific needs. All other times, the Kindness Cupboard is self-serve.

CommUnity Store

  • Location: All Star Cleaning (120 Saturn Drive, Fort Collins), bottom level. Indoors.
  • Times: The store is open:
    • Tuesdays, 2pm - 4pm
    • Friday, 11am - 2pm
    • Sunday, 2pm - 4pm
  • Come for: food (to take home and cook), clothes, games, household supplies, to drop off donations (the space runs on donations)
  • Things to know about showing up/accessability:
    • There is a bathroom (not handicap accessible) on the same level where clothes could be tried on.
    • The ground is paved and most of the store is accessible.
    • There is sometimes a line and to keep the store accessible to everyone, store volunteers have been limiting the number of people in the store.

Mobile laundry

  • Lcation: varies
  • Times: every day: Drop off 8:30-10am of until full. Pick up by 3:30pm
    • Tuesday, Fullana Learning Center (220 N. Grant Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80521)
    • Thursday and Friday, Loveland Public Library (300 N Adams Ave, Loveland, CO 80537)
    • Saturday, FoCo Cafe (225 Maple Street, Fort Collins, CO 80521)
  • Things to know about showing up/accessability:
    • Drop off 8:30-10am of until full. Pick up by 3:30pm.
    • This is a first come, first serve free laundry service for all individuals and families.
    • Steps:
      1. When folks arrive, they put dirty laundry in a numbered bag. There will be people who can help if there are restrictions on an individual doing it themselves.
      2. Bags will be weighted and logged, if folks have a phone number that can be noted (this is NOT required), and folks will receive a ticket.
      3. Laundry is washed and dried in order. Clothes are folded and re-baggged. If a phone number was provided folks will receive a text confirming their clothers are done.
      4. Pick-up clothes by 3:30. Bring the ticket provided earlier in the day to collect the clean laundry.

The CommUnity Store

  • About: The CommUnity Store is a resource for clothes (including professional/fancy clothes), household goods, food, board games, and other miscellaneous items (the only item the store does not currently supply is furniture). The store is a space for everyone: no questions asked, just take what you need. The store also accepts donations during open hours.
